It boots!
Back in Ireland there was a competition called “Motorola Software in Schools”. The prize was usually a PC or Mac. I think I got this back in 1993 or 1994.
I have very fond memories of flying toasters, ResEdit, HyperCard (when I learned it could read/write text files my: mind = blown), ClarisCad, QuarkXPress, Dark Castle… I built my first web site on this computer (courtesy of Geocities).
I left Ireland back in Sept 2001 for NYC and assumed this was long lost. Not so - my brother shipped it 5,100 miles from Dublin to Seattle last week.
After 12 years it still boots. There is some discoloration (probably from my smoking back then) but keyboard and mouse all work.
I haven’t gone through my old files yet but I feel like a kid in a candy store again.
